How much does a loft conversion cost in London?
Loft conversion costs range from £30,000 to £75,000 depending on the type. Dormer from £30,000, hip to gable from £35,000, L-shaped from £40,000, mansard from £45,000. All prices include full design and build.
Do I need planning permission?
Most loft conversions fall under permitted development and do not need planning permission. Exceptions include mansard conversions, conservation areas and listed buildings. We handle all applications.
How long does a loft conversion take?
Typically 8 to 14 weeks to build. The full timeline from consultation to completion is 4 to 7 months.
Can I stay in my house during the build?
Yes. Most loft conversions are built from scaffolding outside. The staircase installation causes 1 to 2 days of disruption but you can remain in your home throughout.
