LCCL Construction is the trading name of Loft Conversion Company London Limited (company number 11713461, VAT number GB404461526), 3rd Floor Hathaway House, Popes Drive, London N3 1QF. What we collect and why

You request an instant estimate
What: Name, phone, email, property address/postcode, project details
Why (lawful basis): To produce and send your estimate and follow it up (steps taken at your request before a contract; legitimate interests)
Kept for: 24 months from last contact

You book a consultation or contact us
What: Name, phone, email, address, message, any drawings or photos you send
Why (lawful basis): To respond and arrange the visit (pre-contract steps; legitimate interests)
Kept for: 24 months, or the life of the project plus 6 years if you become a client

You become a client
What: Contract, payment and project records
Why (lawful basis): Performance of the contract; legal obligations (tax, building regulations, warranty)
Kept for: 6 years after project completion (12 years for structural warranty records)

You visit the website
What: Device, browser, pages visited, approximate location, referring site
Why (lawful basis): Site security and performance (legitimate interests); analytics and marketing cookies only with your consent

We do not sell personal information and we do not use it for automated decisions with legal effects.

Who we share it with.

Only the people needed to do the work: our structural engineers, architects, party wall surveyors, building control bodies and warranty providers (LABC) when you instruct us; our IT and service providers (Wix — website hosting and forms; Google — analytics and business email; Typeform — estimate tool; our accountancy software); and authorities where the law requires. All providers are bound by contract to protect your data. Some providers store data outside the UK (for example Wix and Google in the USA); transfers are covered by the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or UK adequacy regulations.

Your rights.

Under UK GDPR you can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, and receive it in a portable form. Where we rely on consent you can withdraw it at any time. Email info@lcclconstruction.co.uk; we respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk, 0303 123 1113).

Marketing.

We only send marketing emails if you have asked for them or you are an existing client and have not opted out. Every email has an unsubscribe link.

Security.

Data is held in access-controlled cloud services with encryption in transit and at rest. We keep only what we need for the periods above, then delete it.

Children.

Our services are for adults; we do not knowingly collect data from under-18s.
