LCCL Construction policies

How Loft Conversion Company London Limited, trading as LCCL Construction, runs its sites and its business. These policies are reviewed every year to reflect changes in legislation and working practice.

Health and safety

Health and safety is of paramount importance to us. We constantly work to raise our standards, not only within LCCL but by expecting the same culture of health and safety management from our subcontractors and associated businesses. We use The Health and Safety People for consultancy and audit services. Much of our work is in live environments — occupied family homes and, at times, schools — so the safety of our operatives, our clients and the public is taken very seriously on every site.

Considerate site practice

We follow the principles of the Considerate Constructors Scheme: being considerate to neighbours, environmentally aware, professional, respectful, safe and accountable for our actions. On a residential street that means agreed working hours, a tidy site, dust and noise kept down, and neighbours told what is happening and when.

Environmental and waste management

LCCL is committed to acting responsibly, complying fully with relevant UK legislation and accepted best practice, and minimising the impact of our activities on the environment. A waste management plan is put in place for every site we work on; we recycle and recover wherever possible and use local suppliers where we can.

Sustainability and carbon reduction

We are committed to developing low-carbon ways of working across our business activities, and to helping clients make their building projects more energy efficient through better insulation, glazing, heating and low-carbon technologies where they suit the project.
