Instant estimate — terms of use

These terms apply to every figure produced by the LCCL instant estimator at lcclconstruction.co.uk/instant-quote, to the estimate emails and printable estimates it sends, and to the quick range shown on our home page. By ticking the box on the estimator you confirm you have read and accept them.

The 16 terms.

1. This estimate is not a quotation, offer or contract, creates no obligation on House Extension Company London Limited (trading as LCCL Construction), and LCCL may decline to quote for or undertake any project.

2. Figures are indicative, assume an economy-level specification, and are based on typical LCCL projects of this type and size in your postcode area; they are not accurate for any specific property and actual costs may be higher or lower.

3. A written proposal is only issued after a consultation call and, where LCCL requires it, a site visit; a fixed price is only given in a written proposal and contract following drawings and a site visit, subject to LCCL's terms and conditions.

4. Not included: floor coverings; kitchen and bathroom fittings and installation; structural openings and alterations to the existing house; planning, building control and party wall fees; works to the existing house not described. Exclusions are not exhaustive.

5. The estimate assumes a sound existing structure and normal ground conditions; asbestos, drainage, foundations, rot or unsupported structure found on survey are priced separately.

6. Planning and building-regulation work being included does not guarantee consent; decisions rest with the local authority, and fees, appeals and redesign following refusal are extra.

7. The figure on your itemised estimate is the figure you pay — nothing is added afterwards. Prices are reviewed quarterly, may change without notice, and this estimate is valid for 30 days.

8. Timings are typical, not guaranteed; the programme is agreed in the contract.

9. Not a survey, valuation or financial advice: do not rely on it to decide whether to buy a property, to set an offer or budget, or in any mortgage, loan, insurance or valuation application. LCCL does not arrange finance and accepts no liability for decisions made in reliance on this estimate.

10. For the personal use of the person who requested it; no third party may rely on it.

11. LCCL works in London, Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Surrey, Kent and Essex; estimates outside these areas are indicative only and may not be followed by a quotation.

12. The estimator may contain errors or be unavailable; LCCL may correct or withdraw an estimate at any time.

13. Project photos show completed LCCL work; your project will differ.

14. For use by adults enquiring about their own property or one they are buying; not for automated or commercial use.

15. Personal data is handled under our privacy policy; anonymous estimate data is kept for 12 months.

16. English law applies; questions or complaints to info@lcclconstruction.co.uk.

Your data.

Personal details you enter (name, email, phone, address) are handled under our privacy policy. Estimate links are private to you, expire after 30 days and are not indexed by search engines. Anonymous estimate data (project type, postcode area, figure shown) is kept for 12 months.
