Double Storey Rear Extension and Internal Refurbishment Finchley, London N3.

This substantial domestic project involved a total strip out of internals including stripping off the plaster back to the exposed brick in the existing house. Then new fitting and installations of plastering, plumbing, electricals, new flooring, new doors and windows, new ceilings and underfloor heating, new kitchen, new bathrooms.

The project also included a two storey rear extension with new apex roof connected to the existing roofline however the whole roof was replaced too during the process.

To finish off the Project landscaping has been done to compliment the new house.

The new kitchen is located in the extension area.

Supplied by a high end German kitchen supplier, this beautiful kitchen has been designed to the most exacting standards with even the smallest details thought of as per the clients request.

To really make the kitchen stand out modern adjustable ambient lighting was added for a contemporary touch. A bespoke wine display for the client's collection of unique wines was also added to the kitchen.

The double storey rear extension was built to accommodate the spacious new kitchen area. Large bi-fold doors provide a wonderful view of the garden and let in lots of natural light. Glass internal doors were introduced from thekitchen to the hallway to create a view all the way through and let the natural light in. The marble tiles have been sourced from Italy and carefully selected for the client, there is underfloor heating installed underneath the tiles so that they never feel cold underfoot.

Entrance Hallway

The new staircase has a totally different style to the old one, the modern glass balustarde and Oak woodwork painted with a grey finish match the finish in both the upstairs and downstairs areas of the house, tying the look together nicely and consistently.

The new staircase has been designed, supplied and installed.

Bathrooms

The stunning contemporary new bathrooms have been designed, supplied and installed, the client was happy with our partners at Porcelanosa and they really liked their bathrooms which we installed. We pulled through many elements from other areas of the house such as the ambient lighting behind the mirrors for a consistent feel throughout the house. The bathrooms have tiles all the way up to the ceiling and they are fully waterproof this is because we have added a wet shower so before we tiled the bathrooms we applied tanking systems to the room. Wall hanging vanity units provide essential storage without making the space feel crowded.

Bedrooms

The bedrooms have been fully plastered and new skirting and carpet added, the client has chosen gray for the paint finish. The door frame and doors also have been changed and supplied by Howdens.
