Design stages for the dormer loft conversion on a masionette in Finchley N12
As this dormer loft project was being designed for a first floor masionette full planning permission had to be sought from the local authority planning department. Therefore our first steps on this project were to complete both a design brief with the homeowner and for our architect to attend the property and conduct a site measured survey. From the information gathered our architect produced existing plans and elevations and came up with a scheme for the proposed plans and elevations that suited our clients needs.
The existing drawings and proposed scheme was presented to the client, who was happy with the proposal so we were able to submit all the relevant documents to the local authority via a householder application.

Once planning permission was granted we proceeded to produce structural drawings and calculations and resolve party wall matters.
One of the exciting features will be floor to ceiling bi-fold doors at the rear of the loft conversion as presented in the image below.
