The client brief for this project was to add as much space as possible to this modestly sized 2 bedroom Victorian terraced house. An important factor for our clients was that it was done in a way that didn't look out of place with the rest of the original building for example matching the yellow London stock brick, whilst adding modern features such as bi-fold doors.
We completed a site measured survey in order to produce architecture drawings, most lofts and house extensions are within the permitted development and to obtain the go ahead from the council takes a short while. Design of this L-shape loft conversion was to add a bedroom, an additional bathroom and a home office. Design of the extension was focused on transforming the cooking and dining space from a small galley kitchen and separate diner into a large open plan social space where the family could spend time together.
